Programme Costs

Basic Language Course

Programme Costs Basic Language Course The costs (individuals per hour/groups per month) are set out in the table below:

Type Hours per week Cost
Individual tuition According to individual requirements 15 € / hour
Group – 2 people 3 hours (2 sessions of 90 minutes) 90 € / calendar month
Group – 3-4 people 3 hours (2 sessions of 90 minutes) 80 € / calendar month

The length of the basic language course is to some extent open-ended. This is because individuals and groups learn at different speeds and each person will have a different level of knowledge when they begin. We can progress as slowly or as quickly as necessary, according to individual and/or group needs. Content and progress will be discussed at least monthly with individuals and groups to make sure the lessons are effective.

Intensive Language Courses

We know that there will be some English or other foreign people living in Crete who have already reached a certain level of Greek, whether in conversation, in reading or in writing Greek. This may be through working here or through marrying a Greek person. We can offer individually-tailored intensive language courses to anyone in this category who wishes to improve or polish their current skill level. Such a course would last at least one week (20 hours) and the costs would be negotiable.

Special Courses

For those English residents who wish to learn more about Greek history, arts, literature and culture we can offer a special one-week course. This will be for 15 hours over a period of one week and cost Є 250. We will also be arranging 4 hour introductory sessions on these subjects depending on demand. If you are interested in coming to one of these please contact us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
